What you will learn on ukulele

  • Holding and tuning the ukulele
  • Essential chord shapes and smooth chord changes
  • Strumming patterns and keeping steady rhythm
  • Fingerpicking and simple melodies
  • Singing and playing at the same time
  • Playing by ear, reading music and using tablature
  • Practical theory that helps you work out songs on your own

A great first instrument

The ukulele is small, light and gentle on the fingers, which makes it ideal for younger children and for adults who want to get playing quickly. The skills you build — chords, rhythm and an ear for music — transfer directly to guitar if you want to move on later, and lessons can support that switch.

Play the songs you love

From pop and chart hits to classic singalongs, lessons use music you actually want to play. You can even record yourself singing and playing in the studio during lesson time.
