The Power of Music: Guitar Lessons in Aberdeen Made Better

Music is a powerful thing - it's unusual to come across someone who doesn't like at least one genre of music.  We connect through our love of music and we get lost in it - it's our way of escaping our everyday lives.

As a guitar teacher offering guitar lessons in Aberdeen I am constantly reminded through my work at Fresh Music Aberdeen of the importance and power of music.  I meet students on a daily basis who have taken the first steps in experiencing that power as a musician - not just an everyday consumer of music.

Within their guitar lessons we talk a lot about the influences of artists and bands have had on our lives and how that is effected for the better our own playing.  Running a music school in Aberdeen has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in all types of music - from rock to pop, acoustic to jazz, heavy metal to funk.  The greatest feeling is when you hear a groove, lyric or chord progression that resonates with you.

By offering guitar lessons in Aberdeen I can't to show the students I teach the power of music and watch as each student learns to reproduce the sounds that resonate so well within us.

As a guitar teacher I am always looking for new ways to be innovative and to provide ways of experiencing that power within music lessons much more efficiently and effectively.  Through the use of technology and interactive resources I have been able to do this.  It's such a great feeling to see students light up when they too can play what they so enjoy to hear.
